The Equality Institute (EQI) is a global feminist agency working to end violence against women and girls. Founded in 2015 by Dr. Emma Fulu, EQI was born from the belief that violence prevention would benefit from more organisations and programmes working with a distinctly intersectional feminist approach.
Most recently EQI has been celebrating Home Week. The series of workshops have been held at Melbourne Connect Co-working and Melbourne Connect precinct venues. This initiative aimed to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing by bringing together staff members from various locations, including the Northern Territory and Timor Leste. By facilitating cross-cultural exchange and creating a shared workspace, the events throughout the week promoted diversity, inclusivity, and a sense of unity among the team, fostering a global perspective in their work towards promoting equality.
